Design Thinking Challenge
Student teams compete to solve a real-world challenge by applying design thinking. From kickoff, prototype review, final judging to design awards, the competition is packed with excitement and opportunities for growth. Teams submit a presentation, a prototype, and a video pitch that introduces their solution.
Future Scientist
In this unit, students will learn that changing lifestyles and new technology act as a catalyst for creativity and invention. Acting as real-world scientists, they will use the past and present to understand how to be successful in the future.
Epidemic
In this Higher Order and Critical Thinking unit, the students will participate in the diagnosis of a disease that has caused an epidemic and develop a plan to reduce or eliminate the possibility of a similar outbreak. Students will explore the big ideas of survival and adaptation.
